AAL Award 2013: and the winner is…

Programme) which took place in Norrkoping (Sweden), was the 3rd edition of the AAL Award . This competition recognises the most promising project in terms of innovation, human-centric approaches to development and market potential. It brought three AAL JP projects to the final “dragon’s den”. The winner of this year is IWalkActive, an innovative “rollator” (wheeled walker) that improves mobility on various surfaces in an enjoyable way, while enabling physical activities that are impossible or very difficult with traditional systems. Next to the award and as part of the event, a "hackathon" was organized in which some 20 young scientists explored how the use of digital aids can increase older people’s ability to work after 65 years old.


Amsterdam hosts the third GDC roadshow on 14-15 November 2013

The event will have a special focus on public-private cooperation on Green Digital Charter commitments.
