Their activities started in early 2014 for a duration of one year. “Strengthening Journalism in Europe: Tools, Networking, Training” was one of the four selected projects. It was carried out by the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom (CMPF) within the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies (RSCAS) at the European University Institute in Florence and the Center for Media, Data and Society (CMDS) at Central European University in Budapest.

eCall in all new cars from April 2018

Today the European Parliament voted in favour of eCall regulation which requires all new cars be equipped with eCall technology from April 2018. In the event of a serious accident, eCall automatically dials 112 - Europe's single emergency number.
