European Centre for Press and Media Freedom founded in Leipzig - #ECPMF

Representatives of 20 journalists associations, publishing houses, academic institutions, trade unions and media rights experts from many European countries have founded the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF) in Leipzig as an independent non-profit European Co-operative Society (SCE).

Workshop on new EU eGovernment Action Plan 2016-2020

In preparation for the new eGovernment Action Plan (2016-2020), the European Commission (DG CONNECT) organises a workshop to gather views and opinions from key stakeholders on their expectations from the new Action Plan. EU eGovernment Report 2015 shows that online public services in Europe are smart but could be smarter

A new study on eGovernment services shows that the users are still asked to fill forms with information already available to the administration in more than half of the cases. Only 57% of the public services are available to cross-border businesses and only 47% to other EU citizens across the border. 73% of the public services websites does not have a mobile-friendly version.
