Empowering patients through eHealth: a case report of a pan-European project

Three lessons have been collectively learnt during the development of the EU-funded PALANTE project, which involves nine European sites that have implemented different eHealth services for empowering different typologies of patients.

The latest eHealth developments will be discussed during the eHealth Week. Presentations will be delivered by high level speakers through workshops, sessions and interactive panel discussions. eHealth Week will bring together government and ministerial delegations as well as the private sector, thus encouraging productive discussions around how these two areas complement each other and what lessons can be learned. More than 2000 participants are expected to attend this event.

Re-engineering the Uptake of ICT in Schools

The results of the 12.5 million Euro iTEC project, which piloted educational tools and resources in over 2500 classrooms across 20 European countries, are now available in a new book. It is available free-of-charge in digital format (PDF and ePub). The book is distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial License. A hard copy can be purchased from the publisher.

Today the European Commission is launching a public debate with two consultations: one on geo-blocking and the other one on platforms, online intermediaries, data, cloud computing and the collaborative economy. Views expressed and information gathered will help the Commission assess the need for, or prepare initiatives as part of the Digital Single Market Strategy and the Internal Market Strategy for Goods and Services.
