A new study carried out for the European Commission has concluded that European film festivals (EUFFs) provide a unique opportunity for European films to reach audiences in third countries. They are important tools to promote the image of a creative Europe abroad as well as to foster mutual understanding between cultures. Professionalization is pivotal for EUFFs to fulfil their cultural, trade and diplomatic potential.

e-health app guidelines developed to improve elderly care
Growing demand for elderly e-health applications has created an opportunity for SMEs to develop innovative internet, mobile phones and tablets-based solutions along with video games that can improve the health of older people. Sweden opens academic ‘borders’ with the e-SENS project
As part of the Citizen Lifecycle domain in e-SENS, Sweden is piloting a new online service to allow third-level students from other countries to access academic programmes at Stockholm University. The pilot uses e-ID for identification and signing through a federated cross-border authentication tool supported by e-SENS, the EU’s large-scale initiative.
