eIDAS high-level event | A big leap in the eIDAS journey: new trust services for a Digital Single Market

On 1 July 2016, the new rules on trust services under the eIDAS Regulation will come into effect in the 28 EU Member States repealing the 15 year-old eSignature Directive and modernising the legal framework for trust services. This will be a turning point in the eIDAS journey and another big milestone towards a Digital Single Market.

Media pluralism in Member States: EU-funded project presents new results

The European University Institute's Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom (CMPF) in Florence published today a report assessing media pluralism in 19 EU Member States in 2015. The countries monitored were Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. The 9 other Member States were assessed in the 2014 report.
