The European Regulators Group for Audiovisual Media Services (ERGA) expresses its serious concerns about the situation of one of its members, the media regulator in Croatia, the Electronic Media Agency. ERGA calls upon the European Commission to ensure the independent and effective functioning of all media regulators within the European Union.

ePrivacy Directive: Commission launches a public consultation to kick start the review
The Commission is opening a public consultation on the rules which govern the processing of personal data and the approach towards privacy in the electronic communications sector (the ePrivacy Directive) This kicks off a review of the ePrivacy Directive to ensure that it is fit for the digital age and for the challenges facing European society. This is one of the key actions of the EU's Digital Single Market strategy to strengthen trust in online services.

Public Consultation on the Evaluation and Review of the ePrivacy Directive
The European Commission seeks stakeholders' views on the current text of the ePrivacy Directive as well as the possible changes to the existing legal framework to make sure it is up to date with the new challenges of the digital area. The consultation is open until 5 July 2016.
