Results of EIF consultation available

The European Commission has published the results of the open public consultation on the revision of the European Interoperability Framework (EIF). Respondents from 27 countries sent a total of 179 contributions. The Commission will further analyse the results and take them into account when determining the type of instrument to propose.

The purpose of this call for tenders is to assess the potential of ICT to reduce prices (through increased productivity) by sector, estimate the effect on demand for goods and services of each sector at these lower prices (based on price elasticities) and deduce potential employment impacts (SMART 2016/0054)

Round table event for European mHealth projects

As a side event of the 6th EAI International Conference on Wireless Mobile Communication and Healthcare ("Transforming healthcare through innovations in mobile and wireless technologies"), the PEGASO project will host a round table especially for EU-funded projects working in mHealth. Aim: to get together and build a common strategy and vision for research exploitation at scientific and impact level.


SELFback: mHealth for low back pain

The SELFback project is developing new mHealth technology to self-manage low back pain. Project Coordinator Paul Jarle Mork: "We anticipate that those who use the SELFback system will have at least a 20% reduction in pain related disability".

Survey on eID and electronic trust services under eIDAS

The European Commission has contracted a study on a marketing plan to stimulate the take-up of eID and trust services for the Digital Single Market(SMART 2015/0046). In this context, a survey has been launched with a view to gather information on how to boost the uptake of these services.

The 4th e-gov benchmarking report shows uneven progress

A new study on eGovernment services in the EU reveals that online public services are becoming increasingly accessible across Europe, 81% now being available online. However, deeper analysis of user-centricity, transparency, cross-border mobility and in general quality of use shows that growth is uneven and a substantial number of EU countries are still lagging behind.
