EU code week 15-23 October 2016 – Programming enthusiasts in 46 countries celebrate creating with code

Code enthusiasts will celebrate EU Code Week between 15-23 October by inviting hundreds of thousands of children, teenagers, young adults, adults and teachers to coding events. Events are taking place in 46 countries in and outside of Europe, in libraries, in schools, universities and tech companies and other digital locations. The aim: to give people of all ages hands on programming experience. Check out coding events close to you on the EU Code Week map. In 2015 more than half a million people took part in more than 7, 500 events in 46 countries in Europe and beyond.

Supporting the implementation of eGovernment at regional and local level

To help regional and local public administrations implement the eGovernment Action Plan 2016-2020, a seminar is being organised to present the various funding mechanisms available for actions and discuss how to ensure alignment of these investments with the main priorities of the eGovernment Action Plan.

FICHe accelerator boosted 20 innovative eHealth startups into the European market

After two years, the 'Future Internet CHallenge eHealth' (FICHe) accelerator recently ended. Its aim has been to challenge European start-ups to develop innovative applications building upon FIWARE technology. Three phases and altogether €6.24 Million funding later, 20 finalists made it out of an initial 300+ applicants to the finish line. They developed their ideas into successful new eHealth solutions.
